Race Prepping a Pinto Crankshaft

So the obvious things apply.

- Extensive cleaning of oil passages
- Smoothing of passage inlets/outlets
- Polishing Journals

If grinding is needed:
- What is the minimum reliable main journal size?
- What is the minimum reliable rod journal size?

GCR 9.1.1.15b says:
Quote:

A standard crankshaft shall be used or any crankshaft that is a
replica of the original crankshaft and of the same material may be
used. Spot machining to achieve balance is permitted. Tuftriding,
Parkerizing, shot peening, shot blasting, and polishing are permitted.
Minimum weight: twenty-seven point five (27.5) lbs.
Are these treatments substantially or marginally beneficial?

What should be added to the list?
