The price of these things have gone way up! No subscription required with these older models and according to pegasus they will continue to work without any trouble. AMB has no plans to discontinue them.

Do I have to pay to use my old TranX now?
No. Existing non-subscription TranX transponders still do not require a subscription. MyLaps has no plans to deactivate the original TranX transponders. You can continue to use your existing TranX unit until it wears out.
