I have a related post, concerning my torque list for the DB-1. I was [again] trying to check a torque spec, and noticed that Van's Aircraft list of torque specs for AN bolts shows torques that are only about 50% of the Bolt Depot's SAE recommendation for grade 8 Bolts. Anybody know why? Van's seem way low to me, BTW. Only 15.8 ft/lb for an AN-6 [3/8-24] and 11.6 for an AN-5 [5/16-24]
