I am about 6 months from moving and starting my research. I intend to get a vehicle to towing an enclosed trailer. Now, I am looking for a trailer to be able to tow a 4k vehicle. Assuming 3500 lb weight trailer, the vehicle needs to haul 8k ish and be able to drive cross country. At first, I was looking at older panel trucks (or a suv) setup so that I could use it for camping at the track, but a friend recommended a sprinter van. However, they don't seem to have the towing capacity. I don't know much about towing expect diesel is probably the way to go. I am curious what you guys and gals think. I like to stay under 20k for the vehicle and trailer. Any suggestions?
