My car has a custom steel filler neck for coolant, which incorporates the radiator cap. After 10 years, it's rusty on the inside, which I'm sure is not good for any part of the cooling system.
I would like to get rid of the rust, and am hoping the collective wisdom of Apex will have some ideas. Would treating it with POR15 work? What about treating the rust and then coating it with some kind of rubberized coating or plasti-dip type product? I have no idea what will stick to the metal and not degrade from constant contact with Water Wetter / antifreeze. Any feedback and/or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Cory
