Considering a sale of my Swift DB6. I just finished a complete frame up restoration on last year. I have ran the car three times since finished. The engine was rebuilt by Ivey just before I purchased the project. I ran the engine once and then decided that I wanted to have Farley re-do the head and carburetor. So the top end has two weekends on it while the bottom end has four total race weekends. Here is the detail list of what was performed during the rebuild:
- Blasted the frame, inspected, and repainted
- Went through all heims and replaced any that had any sign of wear
- Machined brackets to allow for adjustable front sway bar and added dual adjuster in cockpit
- New Tilton master cylinders (front and rear brake – did not replace clutch)
- New AP calipers LD-19 style (aluminum)
- New floating drilled rotors
- New Fast Forward uprights (Complete assemblies)
- New EVO 4 data system (Oil pressure, oil temp, water temp, RPM pick up from Veracity, built in G-sensor, and GPS)
- New MXL dash display
- New fire bottle
- New belts
- New Fuel Safe fuel cell
- New battery
- New wiring
- New brake and clutch line
- New paint job on body panels
- Shortened pushrods and machined adjusters so ride height is easier to set
- New mechanical fuel pump
- New stainless steel floor pan which was bonded on using 3m structural epoxy
- Rebuilt steering rack with new bushings
- Went through the gearbox and ended up replacing the ring and pinion after the original diff broke in the second outing with the car.
- Dynoed all shocks and insured no issues
I have a ton of spares they include:
- Spare nose freshly painted
- Spare crash box
- All original uprights assembled
- New Lower a-arms for all corners (we built a jig and built these ourselves) with heims and spherical bearings
- New Upper a-arms for front and rear (also built a jig for these) with all spherical bearings
- Complete car set of tie rods (one set with heims)
- Complete car set of pushrods (one extra pair of adjusters and heims)
- New Petronix distributor
- New Petronix coil
- 32 Gears for the car ranging from 14/36 to 25/25
- Brand new Hyperco springs (250, 300, 350, 400, 450, 500, 550, 600) One of each and of course a set is currently on the car.
The car has been modified to use VD wheels and I have three sets of OZ Mag wheels. I have a new set of Toyo tires as well as a used set. I also have two new sets of Hoosier spec slicks and one set of Hoosier spec rain tires for SCCA. I would prefer to keep the Hoosier tires but this can be negotiated. I also have a scale pad with scales and set-up tools. If interested I would also part with my 32' all Aluminum Gooseneck trailer that is setup with ONAN generator, LED lights, AC, aluminum tire rack, etc.
