Getting closer to finishing our Eagle Formula Ford. But we have questions regarding polishing the lower aluminum side panels. The new panels have a grain pattern in them from the mill. When we polish them we get a a luster but you still see the grain of the material. What is the best process? Do we fine sand them first? Also what style of polishing wheel do we use? There is the flat buffers that you would polish and wax your car with. Or would use use a wheel on a hand grinder? That type would be hard not to leave lines??? Also What types of polishing compounds would be recommended ?
